A logged event template is a configurable event type that you can record in your site, to track, report on and trigger notifications when this event occurs. Logged events can relate to drivers, vehicles, location geofences, documents, checklist failures and more! Each template can be customised with rules and linked to your notification topics to make sure the right people are alerted when these events occur.

1. Navigate to https://app.allotrac.io/ and log in to your Allotrac.io site

2. Click the "Configure" tab from the side menu

3. Click the "Logged Event Templates" button from the drop down

4. By default, we will provide you with some basic logged event templates that are ready to go.

5. To create and configure your own, click the "ADD LOGGED EVENT TEMPLATES" button

6. Assign a "Name" for the logged event

7. If needed, assign a "Description" for the logged event

8. Click the "Default Severity" field

9. Select the desired severity for when this event occurs

10. Click the "About" field and assign which asset/ module this event relates to. This could be drivers, vehicles, location geofences, checklists/ forms, documents and more

11. Select the event that you want to log via the "Events" drop down. The events will be in relation to the asset you have selected in the "About" field above it

12. When this event occurs, if you would like to capture the "Location" where the event is recorded, click the toggle below

13. When this event occurs, if you would like to capture the "Time" when the event is recorded, click the toggle below

14. Click the "Notification Topics" field

15. Select the desired notification topic that you want to be notified when this logged event occurs.

Remember, a notification topic is a group of recipients that will be alerted after an event occurs

16. If your logged event is in relation to a particular form failure like a prestart checklist, select the correct form you would like to log/ report on from the "Forms" field

17. Click the "SAVE" button to save your changes

You have now created your first custom logged event template. This logged event will notify the selected recipients within the chosen notification topic. It will also be recorded within the logged events screen each time this event is logged
